What to do if your child has dandruff all the time

Children always have dandruff consider caused by seborrheic dermatitis, tinea capitis, psoriasis and so on. According to the different diseases can choose the appropriate drugs for treatment.
1. Seborrheic dermatitis: it is a chronic, recurrent, inflammatory skin disease that is common in seborrheic overflow areas such as the head, face, chest and back. For seborrheic dermatitis at the scalp, there can be erythema accompanied by greasy dandruff, available shampoo containing ketoconazole to remove dandruff.
2. Tinea capitis: a skin disease caused by the infection of hair and scalp with dermatophytes. It is common to see hair loss spots on the scalp, and there are also cases of extensive scalp scaling, partly accompanied by a small amount of hair loss. Oral antifungal drugs such as terbinafine are commonly used to remove dandruff.
3. Psoriasis: It is a chronic, recurrent, inflammatory, systemic, immune-mediated disease induced by both genetic and environmental factors. Scalp lesions with thick scales, often beyond the hairline and hair in bundles, can lead to increased dandruff. Topical medications such as retinoids and vitamin D3 derivatives (e.g., carbotriol or tacalcitol) have been shown to be effective.
