In principle, parotid tumor requires surgery, however, specific analysis of the problem is needed. If the patient is a senior patient, over 80 years old, and the patient is clearly a benign parotid tumor, and the patient is not willing to have surgery, we can consider temporary observation and timely review ultrasound or CT, if the tumor does not grow significantly, we can consider temporary conservative treatment. If a young patient finds a substantial parotid tumor, early surgery is recommended because the smaller the tumor is, the smaller the relative surgical damage is and the possibility of damaging the facial nerve during surgery is also small, and most parotid tumors are mainly benign tumors that will only grow gradually, with less chance of malignancy and metastasis.
