Training Methods for Recovery of Ocular Axis Retraction

The eye axis generally cannot be shortened. Patients can improve the symptoms of visual fatigue by means of training such as eye gaze before the eyes of the fingers, indoor light box visual acuity chart training, and outdoor scene target gaze, but these methods cannot shorten the eye axis. Patients can slowly rotate the eyeball, clockwise counterclockwise 100 times each after the finger between the tip of the nose and an arm’s length to do alternating near and far coordinated movement 20 groups, to relieve visual fatigue. Indoor training can choose a light box vision table or a clear picture on the wall, etc. It is recommended that the distance is more than 5 meters, according to their own naked-eye vision or corrected vision after wearing glasses to choose the size and difficulty of the target, and identify the top-down sequentially. Patients can also improve visual fatigue through outdoor training by selecting distant objects, such as license plate numbers, billboard text or angular targets, such as the boundary line of a tall building, power lines or tower spikes. Usually the farther away you gaze under outdoor conditions, the better. After gazing at a distant target for a period of time, gaze carefully at a nearer target to regulate eye function. It is recommended that patients with abnormal eye axes seek prompt medical attention to evaluate their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
