Scattered cords in the lungs. Is it important?

Generally scattered corded shadows within the lungs are imaging descriptions that may be caused by old lung lesions resulting in scattered punctate streaks within the lungs, which are usually not important. If the scattered punctate streak shadows within the lungs are due to pulmonary fibrosis, it is more important.
1. If the lungs have been previously inflamed or traumatized, localized old foci may remain after recovery from the disease. In this case, the patient undergoes CT or X-ray examination of the lungs, and scattered punctate streaks of shadow will appear.
2. If the patient develops interstitial pulmonary fibrosis, it will also lead to scattered punctate shadows in the lungs. If the patient develops interstitial pulmonary fibrosis, it is a critical situation and requires further medical examination.
Whether the scattered streaks in the lungs is important or not, the patient needs to consult a doctor in time to check the cause of the disease, and the doctor will determine whether the disease is serious according to the cause.
