Breasts can be lifted and stiffened by Breast Lift Fixation. As women age, the glandular tissue within the breasts decreases and atrophies, the elastic tissue weakens and is filled with fatty tissue, the breasts lose their supportive tissue and are unable to maintain the breasts in the desired position, thus gradually sagging and losing their aesthetic appeal. Plastic surgery classifies breast ptosis into 3 degrees, i.e. mild ptosis, moderate ptosis and severe ptosis. Mild ptosis means that the nipple is within 1cm below the inframammary fold and above the lower pole of the breast; moderate ptosis means that the nipple is located 1~3cm below the inframammary fold but is still above the lower pole of the breast; moderate ptosis means that the nipple is below the inframammary fold by more than 3cm and is below the lower pole of the breast in contour. All of the above degrees of ptosis can be lifted and fixed by appropriate plastic surgery techniques, including simple lift and fixation or combined breast augmentation, etc., which requires careful pre-operative assessment by the surgeon. It is recommended to go to a regular hospital with plastic surgery qualification for treatment.
