How to deal with a broken lip

Patients with broken lips, generally based on the severity of the broken lips, can often take different treatment methods. First, if the patient’s lips are broken to a lesser extent, only causing mild damage to local soft tissues, only accompanied by mild pain and swelling, no active bleeding, you can shrink the capillaries through local ice to reduce the swelling and pain symptoms. At the same time, give the patient oral swelling and pain, bruising and injury pills, after 3-5 days, the patient’s lip trauma can recover faster and achieve better results. Second, if the patient’s lip bruises are more serious, accompanied by soft tissue lacerations and active bleeding. Patients need to go to the hospital as soon as possible, perform local debridement and suture treatment under anesthesia, use hydrogen peroxide, vital iodine and saline to thoroughly remove the necrotic tissue and foreign bodies in the trauma, and at the same time give infusion of cephalosporin antibiotics to strengthen anti-infection treatment. Within 24 hours of injury, tetanus immunoglobulin should be injected to prevent tetanus infection.
