Can it be meningitis without fever?

Meningitis is not usually considered without fever. Meningitis clinically mainly includes bacterial meningitis, fungal meningitis, tuberculous meningitis and viral meningitis, which is a kind of meningeal inflammation caused by the invasion of the meninges by pathogens. Most of them can present with fever, and the degree of fever varies in patients with different types of meningitis. If bacterial meningitis is considered, it presents with high fever, headache, nausea, and vomiting, with most temperatures exceeding 38.5°C. If fungal meningitis, viral meningitis, or tuberculous meningitis is considered, there can be a low fever or a high fever, along with headache, nausea, vomiting, and signs of meningeal irritation. The diagnosis of the disease is based on the extraction of cerebrospinal fluid for pathogenic diagnosis, to determine whether it is meningitis and the type of meningitis.
