What’s wrong with your neck?

Frequent neck pillow fall may be caused by physiological factors, such as improper sleeping posture, or may be caused by pathological factors, such as muscle strain, cervical spondylosis. 1. Improper sleeping posture: If the pillow is too high, too hard, and the sleeping posture is not correct, the neck is over-extended and over-flexed, which may cause the neck muscles to be tense and muscle spasm. Improper sleeping posture may also cause subluxation of the joints between the cervical vertebrae, which may lead to limited movement of the cervical vertebrae and pain. 2. Muscle strain: If the muscles, fascia, ligaments and other soft tissues around the cervical vertebrae are already damaged, it may lead to neck pain, limited activities, and frequent neck pillow after waking up. 3. Cervical spondylosis: If there is degenerative changes in the cervical intervertebral disc, cervical spondylosis will stimulate the muscles and other tissues around the cervical spine. If the surrounding soft tissues continue to be compressed and stimulated during sleep, it is possible to induce pillow fall. In addition to this, a cold neck, spinal tumors, etc. may also cause symptoms of pillow fall. If the neck often fall asleep, it is recommended to improve the sleeping posture in time to avoid muscle tension and spasm. If it is difficult to relieve the fall of sleep on its own, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time, and follow the doctor’s instructions for standardized treatment.
