Night sweating in adults (abnormal sweating after going to sleep and stopping after waking up) is mostly due to deficiency of yin or heart and blood, and can be treated with oral Chinese medicine and acupuncture.
1. Oral Chinese medicine:
(1) cardiac blood deficiency: the main manifestations are night sweating, accompanied by dreaming and little sleep, palpitation, dizziness, fatigue (mental exhaustion, physical weakness), dullness (no appetite, reduced food intake), less food, pale lips and nails, pale or yellowish face, pale tongue, thin white moss, weak pulse, etc. Oral treatment with rejuvenation of the spleen soup plus subtraction can be taken.
(2) Yin deficiency and hyperactivity of fire: manifested as night sweating, accompanied by thirst, tidal fever of bone vapor (a burst of heat, feeling that the heat comes from inside the bone to the outside), five heart-quenching heat (heat in the hearts of the hands and feet, and self-consciousness of the heart and chest), heart-quenching and little sleep, flushing in the cheekbones, emaciation, a red tongue with little moss, and a thin pulse (the pulse becomes narrower and finer, and the rate is accelerated), etc., and can be treated with angelica liuhuang tang.
2. Acupuncture: You can use acupuncture points such as Yin Qie point, Fuxiao point, Hegu point and Sanyinjiao point for acupuncture, and it is recommended to be operated by a professional doctor.
If night sweating occurs, consult the clinician and follow the doctor’s instructions.
