What should patients with GERD pay attention to in their daily lives?

  Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) refers to the discomfort caused by reflux of stomach contents into the mouth and esophagus, including heartburn, reflux (acid reflux, mouth bitterness, regurgitation, etc.), chest pain, and individual patients may induce cough and asthma attacks and persistent pharyngitis.  In addition to medication, GERD patients need to pay attention to the following aspects in daily life: (1) Quit smoking and alcohol, avoid eating high fat, chocolate, coffee and spicy and cold and other stimulating foods. (2) Obese people lose weight and avoid over-tightened belts. (3) Eat less and more meals, eat seven or eight minutes full, and should not lie down immediately after meals. (4) Reclining position and night reflux, 3 hours before bedtime should not eat, can elevate the head of the bed 15-20cm, take the left side position.
