What are the symptoms of moderate cervicitis?

The main symptoms of moderate cervical inflammation are increased vaginal discharge, which is purulent or yellow, irritation of the vulva, itching or burning pain, or even ulceration of the vulva, a little vaginal bleeding during sex, or the presence of blood in the usual discharge. In this case, colposcopy and, if necessary, histopathological examination of the cervix should be done to confirm whether there is a cervical lesion. If inflammation is the cause, vaginal treatment with celiac pessary or gels for 1-3 months will be required. If the test results show lesions or precancerous lesions of the cervix, a conization procedure is needed to remove the lesions if necessary. Women need to have their cervix checked regularly every year to reduce the incidence of cervical cancer.
