How to determine if a toe is fractured

Determine whether the toe is fractured mainly from the following aspects: First, the history of trauma, if there is a history of relatively large trauma, like wheel crushing or stone crushing, the chances of fracture may be high. Second, clinical manifestations, after the fracture occurs, the fractured toe will show severe swelling, subcutaneous ecchymosis, bruising, pain, more intense pain, often resting pain, activity pain, longitudinal percussion pain, circumferential pressure pain and so on. Abnormal movement can also occur, that is, after the toe is fractured, the toe can flex and extend and retract like a joint when moving back and forth, which is called abnormal movement. You can also hear the sound of bone rubbing, and the toe can be tilted to one side, resulting in deformity. Third, an orthogonal x-ray of the foot should be taken to clarify the presence of a fracture.
