The clinical performance of pheochromocytoma varies greatly. In mild cases, it may be asymptomatic, while in severe cases, other symptoms such as hypertension and metabolic disorders may occur.
1. Hypertension: mainly manifested as persistent hypertension symptoms such as headache, fast heart rate, panic, excessive sweating, etc. Some patients may manifest sudden increase of blood pressure, such as severe headache, pallor, sense of urgency in precordial region or epigastric region, and cerebrovascular accidents may occur in serious cases.
2. Metabolic disorders: mainly manifested as elevated basal metabolic rate, such as fever, emaciation, polydipsia, polyphagia, lipid metabolism disorders and so on.
3. Others: facial flushing, constipation, diarrhea, etc., and shock in some patients.
If the above symptoms such as abnormal blood pressure occur, it should be taken seriously and go to the hospital for consultation and treatment in time.
