Can you feel thyroid nodules?

Some thyroid nodules can be palpated, but patients with smaller thyroid nodules usually cannot.
Some patients with thyroid nodules may be able to palpate the nodules or feel raised abnormal tissue in the neck, and palpation of thyroid nodules is also an important screening tool.
However, for smaller thyroid nodules that are difficult to feel by touch alone, thyroid ultrasound is recommended, which can not only detect the presence of thyroid nodules, but also clarify important information such as the size, number and location of the nodules, whether the edges of the nodules are clear, and whether there is calcification inside.
Patients suspected of having thyroid nodules are advised to go to the hospital and let the doctor make a judgment.
