What’s wrong with a hard lump near the anus that doesn’t hurt?

Patients with hard lumps near the anus but without pain need to be distinguished from the following diseases: First, perianal cancer. Early stage of perianal cancer is a hard nodular lump with itching and slow growth, which can form ulcers after enlargement. Secondly, anal eczema. The disease manifests as multiple nodular lumps surrounding the anus, which can involve the lowermost part of the anal canal, varying in size from small skin protrusions to large, tipped irregular lumps with fine granules on the surface. There is normal skin separation between the lesions, no ulceration of the skin at the lesions, and no manifestation of malignant infiltration visible to the naked eye. Third, anal fissure. Anal fissures mostly have oval ulcers at the posterior median anal margin, old anal fissures are grayish-white, and often have anterior sentinel hemorrhoids.
