Simply speaking, interventional therapy is a technique that uses special interventional devices such as puncture needles, guidewires, catheters, balloons and stents under the guidance or monitoring of medical imaging equipment, such as X-ray machines, CT and ultrasound equipment, to obtain histological, bacteriological and biochemical information for diagnosis or treatment of certain diseases, such as vascular diseases or tumors, using minimally invasive techniques.
