What to apply for anal dryness and discomfort

There are many causes of anal dryness and discomfort, the more common ones such as hemorrhoids, sinusitis, anal fissures, and anal inflammation, all of which are very much related to poor living and eating habits. Due to the different causes of anal dryness, the medication applied is also different. If the dryness and discomfort of the anus is caused by hemorrhoids, you can use a sitz bath with potassium permanganate solution and then apply hemorrhoid ointment for treatment. If it is caused by sinusitis, it can be treated with an enema of antibiotic solution, followed by the application of an anti-inflammatory ointment such as erythromycin. If it is caused by anal fissures, it can also be treated with sitz baths with potassium permanganate solution, alternating between hemorrhoidal ointment and antibiotic ointment. If it is caused by anal inflammation, you can use povidone-iodine to disinfect the wound and apply antibiotic ointment such as erythromycin for treatment. Patients with anal dryness should pay attention to regulating their diet while applying ointment for treatment, and try not to eat spicy and irritating food.
