Spitting up when burping may be caused by sucking too much milk, improper burping position, improper feeding position and so on.
1. Sucking too much milk: it may be by the breastfeeding process, the baby sucks too much milk, hiccups may be abdominal muscle contraction, which may appear when the phenomenon of spitting up when burping.
2. Improper burping posture: Under normal circumstances, the infant should be placed vertically and patted on the back when burping. However, if you burp the baby while holding him in a slanting position, the stomach may be squeezed, which may result in spitting up when burping.
3. Improper feeding position: When breastfeeding, the baby’s mouth and nose are accidentally covered by clothes. Babies may open their mouths and swallow a lot of air while sucking milk, which may lead to spitting up when burping.
