HPV (human papillomavirus) vaccine refers to the cervical cancer vaccine, which can prevent many kinds of cervical lesions and cervical cancer caused by human papillomavirus infection.
The cervical cancer vaccine can be categorized into bivalent vaccine, quadrivalent vaccine and nine-valent vaccine. The bivalent vaccine can prevent lesions caused by HPV types 16 and 18; the quadrivalent vaccine can prevent diseases caused by HPV types 16, 18, 6 and 11; and the nine-valent vaccine can prevent lesions caused by HPV types 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52 and 58.
There exists an age limit for vaccination. When vaccinating, one should consult a doctor for timely examination to clarify that there are no relevant contraindications and vaccination should be carried out under the guidance of a doctor.
