Symptoms of severe heat stroke

Common symptoms of severe heat stroke: 1. Central nervous system: Hyperthermia can cause rapid cell death in the brain and spinal cord, followed by focal brain hemorrhage, edema, increased intracranial pressure and coma. The cerebellar cells are extremely sensitive to hyperthermia and often suffer from dysarthria, ataxia, and poor distance discrimination. 2. Cardiovascular system: Tachycardia (>180 beats/min) and elevated cardiac index and central venous pressure (CVP). Myocardial ischemia and necrosis promote arrhythmia and aggravate heart failure, followed by a decrease in cardiac output and skin blood flow, affecting heat dissipation and forming a vicious circle.3. Respiratory system: In hyperthermia, increased respiratory rate and ventilation volume, which continues without relief, can cause respiratory alkalosis. In pyrexia, ARDS can occur due to pulmonary vascular endothelial injury.4. Water and electrolyte metabolism: heavy sweating often leads to water and sodium loss, causing dehydration and electrolyte imbalance.5. Kidney: acute renal failure can occur due to severe dehydration, cardiovascular dysfunction and rhabdomyolysis.6. Digestive system: ischemic ulcers, prone to gastrointestinal hemorrhage. There are different degrees of hepatic necrosis and cholestasis.7. Hematological system: different degrees of DIC, DIC can further contribute to cardiac, hepatic and renal dysfunction or failure.8. Muscle: hypoxia and metabolic acidosis, often severe muscle injury, causing rhabdomyolysis and elevated serum creatine kinase.
