cervical plexus nerve block

A cervical plexus nerve block is a method of anesthesia in which a local anesthetic is injected into/from the periphery of the nerve roots of the cervical plexus to produce a block in nerve conduction in the area it innervates. It is one of the commonly used anesthesia methods in clinical practice. 1. Indications: thyroid surgery, cervical lymph node dissection, clavicle fracture fixation, etc. 2. Contraindications: local anesthetic allergy, local infection, severe hypertension, respiratory obstruction, hyperthyroidism, etc. 3. Pre-operation preparation: fasting for 6-8 hours before operation. 4. Operation method: patient supine position, head inclined to the opposite side, in the 4th cervical vertebrae transverse point puncture to transverse process, back suction no blood, no cerebrospinal fluid, can be injected with 5-7 ml of drugs, and then with the above method, block the superficial plexus.
