What’s the matter with the throbbing sensation in the center of my chest?

Feeling throbbing in the middle of the chest may be physiological, or it may be caused by pathologic factors such as cardiogenic rheumatic heart disease and non-cardiogenic hyperthyroidism.
1. Physiological reasons: such as strenuous exercise, drinking functional beverages, mental tension, etc. may make the sympathetic plexus of the chest increased excitability, blood vessels appear functional dilation, so as to feel the middle of the chest throbbing.
2. Pathological causes
(1) Diseases of cardiac origin, such as rheumatic heart disease, mitral valve prolapse, coronary heart disease, cardiomyopathy and so on, may cause structural changes in the heart tissue, which may affect its normal systolic and diastolic functions, and then symptoms of premature ventricular contractions may appear, which may be manifested as a feeling of throbbing in the middle of the chest.
(2) Non-cardiac diseases: such as hyperthyroidism, ischemic anemia, hypertension, etc. can cause an increase in metabolism, and sympathetic excitation will cause a significant increase in heart rate, which will lead to arrhythmia, manifesting itself as a sensation of beating in the middle of the chest.
If the symptom of feeling throbbing in the center of the chest recurs and cannot be relieved, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time to find out the cause and then treat it actively so as not to delay the condition.
