Esophageal stricture is clinically classified into two types: the first is congenital esophageal stricture; the second is acquired vascular stricture. In congenital esophageal stenosis, patients may have difficulty swallowing, painful swallowing and food reflux. The stenosis can be treated by dilating the esophagus and placing a stent. Acquired esophageal stricture is usually caused by inflammation or tumor in the esophagus. If it is a tumor, you can choose surgery, radiotherapy or chemotherapy treatment.
