How to Fix Chicken Skin

“Chicken skin, also known as keratosis pilaris, is an autosomal dominant genetic disorder that usually requires no treatment. If it affects the appearance of the skin, it can be relieved by topical or oral medication, but it cannot be completely cured.
“Keratosis pilaris is a common hereditary skin condition in which over-keratinization of the skin at the opening of the hair follicle causes the pore to become clogged, resulting in the formation of rough granules on the skin. No treatment is usually needed. If it affects the appearance, topical vitamin A ointment and salicylic acid ointment can be used to soften the keratin and improve the symptoms. In severe cases, oral vitamin A or retinoids may be used.
Patients with keratosis pilaris, if it affects the appearance, it is recommended to go to the regular hospital in time. The above medication should be used in accordance with the doctor’s instructions, do not self-medication.
