The traditional treatment of congenital heart disease is mainly surgical open-chest repair treatment under extracorporeal circulation, but with the continuous development, maturity, experience accumulation and equipment localization of interventional treatment technology, congenital heart disease interventional treatment has been rapidly developed and popularized in China. Our hospital (Maoming City Hospital) and Guangdong Provincial People’s Hospital Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases established a friendly mutual aid relationship and took the lead in carrying out interventional treatment of congenital heart disease in western Guangdong, so that patients can have good experts and low cost for interventional treatment of congenital heart disease. Interventional treatment of congenital heart disease has the advantages of no chest opening, small trauma and fast recovery. After selecting some suitable congenital heart diseases such as arteriovenous ductus arteriosus, atrial septal defect and ventricular septal defect, etc., after blocking the defective parts by interventional methods, it can achieve the same efficacy as surgical open-heart surgery. The success rate of interventional treatment for various indications is more than 98%, and the postoperative complications are less than those of surgical procedures. In general, the interventional closure of precordial disease is less invasive, the operation time is shorter, the recovery is faster (you can get out of bed the day after the operation), the hospitalization period is shorter (about 1 week), and you can start normal work and study after discharge.
