Why don’t you have your period?

There are many reasons for not having a period, and if the period is absent for more than 10 days, pregnancy may be the cause. We suggest blood HCG test and ultrasound to rule out pregnancy as the cause of absence of menstruation. It may also be due to endocrine disorders, or due to changes in the environment, increased work pressure, or consumption of cold and irritating foods. So it is important to be specific according to the specific reason for not getting your period. If the woman is of childbearing age, pregnancy should be ruled out and an ultrasound should be performed to find out the thickness of the lining. If the lining is thickened, progesterone can be given orally for 7-10 days, and menstruation will usually occur after the medication is stopped. If menstruation does not occur after taking the medication, it is recommended that a hormone level test be performed to check the ovaries and hormone levels.
