Clamped leg syndrome is a condition in which children rub their legs together or cross them inward against the vulva, mainly by rubbing against the perineum. Clamping syndrome is actually a form of masturbation, which is not done with the hands, but by clamping the legs or leaning on an object, such as bedding, an arm, or a thigh. Pleasure is obtained through this squeezing. There are many reasons for this condition, excessive stimulation of the child’s legs and perineal area, such as washing the perineum too often, wearing tight underwear, and increased sympathetic stress due to calcium deficiency.
