What are the symptoms of intestinal obstruction?

Symptoms of intestinal obstruction include abdominal pain, vomiting, abdominal distention and cessation of defecation and exhaustion as a direct result of the obstruction, as well as fever, abdominal muscle tension if combined with peritonitis, and, in severe cases of shock, a fine and rapid pulse, decreased blood pressure, cold sweats, cold extremities and impaired consciousness.
