How to treat eb virus infection in children

Childhood ebVirus is a herpesvirus, a reactive proliferative disease of the mononuclear macrophage system caused by a viral infection that is mostly acute and rarely chronic. Usually it can be relieved and treated with general treatment, medication, and other therapies.
1. General treatment: bed rest and nursing care can be strengthened; exercise can be restricted or avoided; attention can be paid to constipation; most of the symptoms can be relieved on their own.
2. Drug treatment: children with acute ebV infection without complications can use antiviral drugs, such as acyclovir tablets, vasiclovir hydrochloride tablets, etc., in a symptomatic and short course. Antiviral drugs can inhibit the synthesis of viral DNA polymerase and thus produce antiviral effects; however, antiviral treatment has no obvious effect on improving symptoms and shortening the course of the disease.
3. Other treatments: children with chronic ebV infection can directly undergo hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, which is the ultimate cure.
In addition to actively seeking medical advice and taking targeted treatment, children with eb virus infection should also receive more nutrition and rest.
