Mometasone Furoate Nasal Spray treats seasonal or perennial rhinitis in adults, adolescents, and children 3 to 11 years of age. In patients 12 years of age and older who have had symptoms of moderate to severe seasonal allergic rhinitis, this medication may be used as a prophylactic treatment 2 to 4 weeks before the start of pollen season. Adverse effects such as headache, rhinorrhea, bloody mucus, blood spots, pharyngitis, burning and irritation of the nose, and nasal ulcers may occur with the use of this drug. It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to any of the ingredients in this product. The use of this spray should be noted that it is prohibited to puncture the nozzle during use; the product requires routine cleaning, otherwise it will affect the normal work of the nasal spray; if the spray is applied for a long time, the nasal mucosa should be examined regularly; the product should be used with caution in patients with active or quiescent respiratory tuberculosis infections, untreated fungal, bacterial, systemic viral infections, or ocular herpes simplex.
