When inflammation and stimulation, the uvula can become congested and edematous, resulting in thickening and lengthening of the uvula, causing foreign body sensation in the pharynx, snoring and pain, etc. During examination, the uvula can be seen to be congested and swollen, and can be attached to the back of the tongue. Conservative treatment and surgery are needed for treatment. Conservative treatment can be done by gargling with light saline several times a day for about 3 minutes each time, which can effectively suck out the liquid in the uvula, and if it is caused by inflammation, antibiotics such as cephalexin can be added for treatment; if the effect is not obvious after conservative treatment, surgery can be adopted, and uvulectomy under local anesthesia can be used, and postoperative anti-inflammatory and symptomatic treatment can have obvious effect.
