Xianhe Cao has the efficacy of astringency, stopping bleeding, stopping malaria, stopping dysentery, detoxification, and tonifying the deficiency, and is suitable for hemoptysis and bleeding under bleeding (excessive menstrual flow or dripping), but can not be used to treat intractable sweating (involuntary sweating during the daytime, and aggravated by a slight movement of sweating). Xianhe Cao is flat in nature, bitter and astringent in flavor, and is attributed to the heart and liver meridians. It is used for malaria, blood dysentery, carbuncle, swollen sores and poisons, vaginal itching and bandages, and dislocation and labor.
