Massage points for treating urinary tract infections

Urinary tract infection in Chinese medicine can belong to the category of gonorrhea (increased frequency of urination, gonorrhea, astringent pain), mostly caused by emotional disorders, external dampness and heat, dietary disorders and other causes of kidney and bladder qi unfavorable and occur. It can be treated by massaging acupoints such as Bladder Yu, Kidney Yu and ShuiQuan.
1. Bladder Yu is located in the lumbosacral region, 1.5 inches below the spinous process of the 2nd sacral vertebrae, and is used to treat dysfunction of bladder qi, lumbosacral pain, diarrhea, constipation, and other diseases.
2. Kidney Yu is located in the lumbar region, under the spinous process of the 2nd lumbar vertebra, 1.5 inches from the side. It is used for treating lumbar pain, genitourinary disorders, tinnitus, deafness and other diseases.
3. ShuiQuan is located on the medial side of the foot, below the back of the ankle, 1 inch straight down from TaiXi, in the medial depression of the heel bone nodule. The main treatment for irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, menstrual closure, yin ting (women’s uterine prolapse or even out of the vaginal opening), urinary incontinence, blurred vision and so on.
