Methods of removing spermatic cord syringomyelia

Currently, the clinical methods of removing spermatic cord syringomyelia include syringomyelia reversal and syringomyelia resection, and most spermatic cord syringomyelia can be cured by surgical methods. Sphincterotomy starts with general anesthesia or local anesthesia, which means that the sheath is folded and sutured around the spermatic cord, after which an incision is made to separate the sheath, open the lumen of the sheath, suction the fluid inside the sheath, and then the sheaths of both testes are turned inward and sutured. Sphincterotomy is basically the same method of removing the excess portion of the sheath and then suturing it back together. This method is suitable for patients with significant thickening of the sheath and there is relatively little chance of recurrence after this procedure. Either way, a very favorable outcome can be achieved.
