Pre-existing heart disease combined with many kinds of malformations can be treated by general treatment, medication, surgery and so on.
1. General treatment: the main thing is to rest and reduce the blood supply to peripheral organs by physical activities. Oxygen can be inhaled when necessary to relieve the symptoms of hypoxia.
2. Drug treatment: mainly for the related symptoms, such as if heart failure can be used to relieve digitalis, diuretics and so on. Calcium channel blockers such as nifedipine can dilate blood vessels and relieve the symptoms of high pulmonary artery pressure.
3. Surgical treatment: if it is valvular stenosis, it can be treated by valvuloplasty; if it is arterial ductus arteriosus, it can be treated by operation of arterial ductus arteriosus; if it is ventricular septal or interatrial septal defect, it can be treated by operation of ventricular septal or interatrial septal occlusion, and so on.
