Can erythromycin ointment be applied to the nostrils

Erythromycin ointment can be used to apply to the anterior nostril. Generally inflammation of the nasal vestibule, local bleeding in the nasal vestibule or dryness, burning and pain in the nasal vestibule can be coated with erythromycin ointment foam. Because ointments that simply coat the nasal cavity are relatively rare and difficult to find in the market, sick people go to deal with this aspect and generally use erythromycin ointment instead of nasal ointment to coat the anterior nostril to reduce inflammation, swelling, local removal of crusts, and promote healing of local wounds. Some literature and textbooks have mentioned this, so don’t worry too much about this. The general usage is to pinch the size of a bean grain in this part of the nasal anterior nostril and then pinch both sides of the nose to make the erythromycin ointment more evenly applied to this part of the nasal vestibule to achieve anti-inflammatory and anti-swelling effects.
