Effectiveness of levofloxacin tablets in the treatment of urethritis

Levofloxacin tablets are more effective in the treatment of UTIs. Levofloxacin tablets belong to the quinolone class of antibiotics and can be considered as the drug of choice for the treatment of bacterial UTIs, including gonococcal UTIs or non-gonococcal UTIs. UTIs that are caused by bacterial infections commonly include streptococcus or gonococcus, E. coli, staphylococcus, and many other bacteria. In addition, mycoplasma and chlamydia may also cause UTI infections. All of these bacteria are sensitive to levofloxacin tablets and can be treated with levofloxacin tablets for the appropriate anti-infection. If the UTI is more serious or if a complicated urinary tract infection is considered, or even an upstream cystitis, ureteritis, or nephritis, it can be treated by intravenous infusion of antibiotics.
