Evans syndrome, or Irving’s syndrome, is a hemolytic disorder. Evans syndrome is an autoimmune hemolytic disease, hemolytic anemia is accompanied by thrombocytopenia, mainly because of autoimmune factors lead to the presence of antibodies, the patient’s platelets and red blood cells are destroyed too much, and bleeding tendency such as purple epilepsy is often seen in clinical manifestations. For evans syndrome, the main treatment is hormonal drugs, such as hydrocortisone. In some patients, the condition is so severe that platelet transfusion and red blood cell washing may be required. When the effect of conservative treatment is not good, surgical treatment can be taken to perform splenectomy, and usually need to pay attention to avoid bleeding.
