Locally advanced stage of kidney cancer usually refers to localized cancerous lesions of kidney and invasion of surrounding tissues, but without distant metastasis or invasion of important organs. For patients with locally advanced kidney cancer, first of all, they need to undergo a series of examinations according to its stage, such as abdominal CT and intravenous urography, etc. If necessary, biopsies can also be obtained by puncture for pathological examination, so as to determine whether locally advanced kidney cancer can be completely resected by surgery, and if it can be completely resected, radical surgery will usually be chosen as the treatment. If it can be completely removed, radical surgery is usually the treatment of choice. However, if the invasion of kidney cancer to the surrounding tissues is more serious and cannot be completely removed, local radiotherapy and combined chemotherapy can be adopted as treatments.
