What’s wrong with one buttock?

One side of the buttock pain may be due to muscle strain, lumbar disc herniation, pyriformis syndrome and so on. The cause should be clarified in time.
1. Muscle strain: If you sit for a long time in a poor posture, such as crossing your legs, or habitually use one side of the muscle, such as the use of one side of the leg activities, etc., which may lead to strain on the buttock muscles, the patient may show the symptoms of one side of the buttock pain.
2. Lumbar disc herniation: the nucleus pulposus that comes out during lumbar disc herniation may press the nerves backward, causing unilateral or bilateral pain in the buttocks, and the patient may also have radiating pain in the lower limbs.
3. Piriformis syndrome: If there is trauma to the buttocks, it may lead to deformation and contracture of the piriformis muscle, thus compressing the sciatic nerve, and when it compresses one side, it will cause pain in the buttocks on one side.
Sciatica, local injury, femoral head necrosis can also cause one side of the buttock pain, if there is one side of the buttock pain, it is recommended that the patient seek medical treatment in a timely manner, improve the examination, and under the guidance of the doctor for treatment.
