Is tubular adenoma with low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia serious?

Tubular adenomas with low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia are mostly benign lesions that are not serious, but require timely treatment such as surgical resection. Tubular adenoma is a type of tumor, which can be found in colon, rectum, duodenum, etc. According to the pathological examination result of the tumor, it is classified into low-grade, medium-grade and high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia, and the higher the grade, the greater the tumor heterogeneity. Tubular adenomas with low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia are mostly benign tumors with low degree of malignancy. If this type of tumor is small in extent, it can be temporarily observed clinically and examined regularly. If the lesion is found to be enlarged or the extent of the tumor itself is large, endoscopic surgical resection and other surgical treatments are needed to prevent it from becoming cancerous. After surgery, follow-up examinations should be performed every six months to a year to detect recurrent tumors. The presence of tubular adenoma with low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia is recommended to go to the hospital in time.
