Specialized medication for neurological headaches

There is no such thing as a specific treatment for neurological headache drugs, commonly used drugs for neurological headache include analgesics, tricyclic antidepressants, 5-hydroxytryptamine reuptake inhibitors and so on.
1. Analgesics: mostly used in acute attacks of neurological headache. Mostly use non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as acetaminophen, ibuprofen and so on. Combined use of caffeine can improve the efficacy, but also increase the risk of drug abuse headache.
2. Tricyclic antidepressants: mostly used as prophylactic medication, commonly used in patients with chronic neuropathic headache. Amitriptyline is the first-line choice. Concomitant disorders such as anxiety and depression should also be treated.
3. 5-hydroxytryptamine reuptake inhibitors: used as prophylactic medication. Studies have confirmed that they may be effective and are better tolerated than tricyclic antidepressants, and can be used as a second-line option.
If you suffer from neuropathic pain, you should be admitted to the hospital in a timely manner and use medication appropriately under the guidance of your doctor.
