Location of Chengsui Point

Cheng Wei point is located on the face, directly below the pupil, between the eyeball and the inferior orbital rim, and is mainly used for treating eye diseases, infraorbital neuralgia, and crookedness of the mouth and eyes.
When taking this point, the patient is asked to sit or lie on his back and look straight ahead, then the edge of the orbital bone between the eyeball and the lower edge of the orbit, directly below the pupil, is this point.
Cheng Wei acupoint is mainly used for treating eye diseases such as blurred vision, tearing in the wind, eyelid twitching, etc. It can also be used for treating infraorbital nerve, facial muscle spasms, and crookedness of the mouth and eyes. In modern clinical practice, this point is often used to treat facial nerve spasm, optic nerve atrophy, cataract, strabismus, glaucoma, astigmatism, hyperopia, myopia, and conjunctivitis.
This point is usually needled or massaged and moxibustion is prohibited. If the patient has any discomfort, he/she should go to the regular hospital in time, follow the doctor’s instructions for symptomatic treatment, and be operated by the professional doctor for acupuncture and massage under the doctor’s guidance. Do not operate blindly, so as not to cause adverse consequences.
