Whether or not a large uterus can be used for a levonorgestrel extended-release IUD (Mannix IUD) depends on the situation, e.g. if the uterine cavity is too deep. If the uterus is large, but the size of the uterine cavity is within the range of placement, the IUD can be placed. If the uterine cavity is large but within the size of the uterine cavity, it can be placed. If the uterine cavity is after a full-term delivery or after induction of labor in a large month, it is also possible to consider placing the Mannix Ring. In addition, if the uterine cavity is too large, a copper-containing stentless IUD may be considered. It is important to note that there are other contraindications to IUD placement such as pregnancy, suspected pregnancy, and acute inflammation of the reproductive tract. Patients with a large uterus are advised to seek medical attention and choose the appropriate contraceptive method according to their situation.
