Duodenal diverticulum is the most common diverticulum in the small intestine. Most patients are asymptomatic, but a small percentage of patients experience vague pain and bloating with nausea. It can be treated by dietary changes, medication and surgery. 1. Dietary changes: patients need to regulate their dietary habits, quit smoking and drinking, and eat more easily digestible foods and high-fiber foods. Avoid spicy, cold and other stimulating foods. 2. Drug treatment: give antacid treatment, such as omeprazole, lansoprazole, pantoprazole and so on. If the pain is obvious, can give antispasmodic treatment, commonly used scopolamine, belladonna tablets, at the same time if there is a complication of infection, give anti-infective treatment, such as levofloxacin, but also to give the body drainage, to avoid stagnation in the diverticulum. Surgery: Duodenal diverticulectomy can be performed for treatment, and the location should be determined before the operation to avoid damage to the surrounding vital organs causing complications.
