How to get rid of acne

Acne is often referred to as common acne in clinical practice. Mild cases can be treated with topical antibiotics, azelaic acid and other medications, while severe cases can be treated with internal medications and phototherapy.
Mild acne vulgaris, i.e., pimples, can be treated with topical medications only. Common medications include retinoids (adapalene gel, etc.), benzoyl peroxide, antibiotics (clindamycin, chloramphenicol, erythromycin, etc.), azelaic acid, and selenium sulfide.
In severe cases, if the efficacy of external medication alone is not good, it can be combined with internal medication as appropriate, such as antibiotics (doxycycline, minocycline, etc.), isotretinoin, anti-androgenic drugs (spironolactone, etc.), glucocorticoids (prednisone, dexamethasone, etc.), and red and blue phototherapy if necessary.
Patients should pay attention to wash their face with mild oil-control cleanser, do not squeeze, scratch, avoid using cosmetics, avoid eating spicy food, control the intake of high sugar, high fat food, eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. It is recommended that patients go to the regular hospital in time, follow the doctor’s instructions for symptomatic treatment, do not self-medication.
