Low blood pressure refers to blood pressure <90/60mmHg, generally divided into physiological and pathological causes, physiological without special treatment; pathological common hypertension, acute cardiovascular disease, postural hypotension, hemorrhagic shock, treatment includes adjusting antihypertensive drugs, implantation of stents, rehydration, the use of epinephrine to raise blood pressure drugs.
1. Physiological: mostly seen in children, teenagers and thin women, blood pressure can be a little lower, but healthy, no other diseases, generally no special treatment, pay attention to strengthen nutrition can be.
2. Pathologic:
(1) hypertension: hypertension patients taking valsartan and other antihypertensive drugs overdose, can lead to lower blood pressure, with dizziness, fatigue, etc., generally need to stop taking antihypertensive drugs, go to the hospital to adjust the medication.
(2) Acute cardiovascular diseases: such as acute myocardial infarction, acute heart failure and so on, leading to the weakening of cardiac function, hypotension, should be treated as soon as possible to address the cause of the disease, such as acute myocardial infarction needs to be implanted with a stent, acute heart failure with hypotension needs to be inhaled oxygen, norepinephrine and other antihypertensive drugs to maintain blood pressure.
(3) Postural hypotension: autonomic nervous system dysfunction occurs hypotension, generally need to be slow to sit up from the bed and other positional changes, can be used to agitate the peripheral sympathetic nerves with midodrine hydrochloride to raise blood pressure.
(4) Hemorrhagic shock: low blood pressure caused by reduced blood volume, patients may experience dizziness, pallor or even fainting, need to correct the cause of blood loss, timely intravenous fluid replacement, the use of dopamine, norepinephrine and other antihypertensive drugs.
If the patient has a low blood pressure, it is recommended to go to the hospital, to clarify the cause, and follow the doctor’s instructions for medication.
