The normal value of basophil percentage ranges from 0 to 1% (the reference ranges in the blood routine checklists of different hospitals may vary to some extent). A basophil percentage of 11.1% is significantly higher than the normal value range, and in most cases, it is caused by pathologic diseases.
1. When basophilic leukemia occurs, the basophil count is markedly elevated and persistently elevated, resulting in a markedly elevated basophil percentage. Bone marrow aspiration is needed to clarify the hematopoietic status of the bone marrow to guide clinical treatment.
2. Chronic granulocytic leukemia may be accompanied by elevated basophils, and the total number of leukocytes can be significantly elevated in the routine blood tests of these patients, and some patients may even be greater than 100×10^9/L. Patients are advised to consult the hematology department in time.
It is recommended that the patient go to the hematology department in time, complete the relevant examinations to clarify the cause of the disease, and treat the cause under the guidance of the physician.
