“Most patients will not die when cancer is treated with Chinese medicine”, but since cancer is said to be a lump, it is called a swollen ulcer in Chinese medicine. When Chinese medicine talks about swelling and ulcers, they all refer to the lumps on the body surface. A lump on the surface of the body is not very curable, and if the doctor does not handle it well, it can also kill a person. Therefore, to say that cancer will not kill you does not mean that you will not die even if you treat it indiscriminately. When doctors treat a disease, there is a certain risk for the patient. This danger is morally the responsibility of the doctor, not the patient. This is the fundamental difference between Chinese medicine and Western medicine. Nowadays, Western doctors treating diseases, using drugs or doing surgery, first ask the patient to sign, and the patient is responsible for the danger. This practice, is to shirk their own responsibility: cure death has nothing to do with me. In legal terms, the doctor is not responsible, the patient will not come to entangle. It gives the doctor a way out. However, it has another bad consequence: doctors can irresponsibly use methods and drugs indiscriminately. However, the doctor cures the disease through the medical method. As mentioned above, the medical method is a knife, used well, can save lives; used badly, can also make people die. If the doctor is not responsible for the treatment, ethical doctors, careful and cautious; no ethical doctors, will be indiscriminate use of drugs and treatment. Many patients will only die. Chinese medicine emphasizes boldness and carefulness, the practice of roundness and wisdom, to be thoughtful. When a lump is born, it does not mean that it will not die, but that it will not die if it is treated correctly, and it will die if it is treated wrongly. I have quoted above the “Method of Discussing the Life and Death of Diseases” from the “The Authentic Book of Surgery”, which not only shows that there is a way to discern life and death when a lump is born, but also shows that doctors may encounter dangerous and difficult-to-treat lumps that are life-threatening, so they must be careful and carefully apply and master the discriminatory treatment to prevent the patient from dying as much as possible. Even if the patient cannot be saved, we must still blame ourselves for not having the best knowledge. This will enable us to improve our medical skills. To sum up, I think the basic principles and principles of cancer treatment are as follows: 1. There is no cancer in the doctor’s mind. Cancer is a concept given by modern medicine, not a concept of Chinese medicine. This is very important. In other words, in the mind of TCM doctors, there is only how to identify and treat swollen ulcers, and there is no concept of “cancer must die” holding the nose. The doctor’s mind must be “dominated by the internal evidence, with its cold and heat, deficiency and reality, the seven emotions, the six sexes, gas, blood, phlegm and dampness, and adjust the evidence” (see Zhang Shanlei: “Compendium of Ulcers – Zheng Preface” Shanghai Science and Technology Press, April 1959). Only such a doctor will truly treat the disease according to the principles of Chinese medicine. If the doctor has the concept of “cancer” in his mind, and the treatment method is the same as that of Western medicine, using the method of attacking cancerous lumps, then cancer cannot be cured. Because cancer lumps are only the result, not the cause. 2.The healing of many cancer patients is the change of environment. Environment includes living environment and psychological environment. In “Cured Without Cure”, it is recorded that a patient who had cancer due to long-term depression was later divorced, and the cancer was cured without cure. No matter the lump is caused by virus, cancer cell or cancer gene, doctors should think that the environment makes people sick and consider eliminating the cause of the disease from the patient’s environment first. Sun Wanpeng’s advanced liver cancer was cured because he was no longer an official. Several of my patients are from Changshan, and when they were treated in Wenzhou, they all recovered quickly, but when they returned to Changshan, they reoccurred and were not cured. Therefore, the father of bacteriology Pasteur said, “Bacteria count for nothing, the environment is everything.” 3. To regulate its yin and yang and its cold and heat is the way to cure cancer. As long as yin and yang are balanced, the self-organizing ability of life will be strong. No matter how serious the cancer is, in the living body, the self-organizing ability of life will always be the main character, that is to say, life will be active in arranging how to treat the pathogens. The pathogen is always passive and waiting to be destroyed. 4. Modern medicine ignores the self-organizing ability of life, and the medical measures taken are harming the self-organizing ability of life, which is the cause of death. Therefore, it is important to know that any treatment that harms the self-organizing ability of life is wrong. The same applies to the treatment methods used by TCM practitioners, which should be primarily tonic, defensive and secondarily offensive, and should only be used with caution when the patient really needs to use offensive methods. Why should tonicity be the mainstay? Because, if the righteous energy is not deficient, the evil energy is not real. It is only when the positive qi is deficient that the evil qi arises. Therefore, replenishing the right qi also means getting rid of the evil qi. If you attack the evil qi, you will easily hurt the right qi. Only when the righteous qi is abundant can we attack the evil qi. The principle of attacking evil Qi without hurting righteousness must be observed for the life of cancer patients to be guaranteed. 5. The cause of the disease should be treated, not the result. Therefore, surgical removal is a foolish way to cover the ears and steal the bell. Therefore, Chinese medicine treatment of cancer is not based on the increase or decrease of cancer lumps as the basis of effective or ineffective treatment, but on the transformation of lumps into yin and yang as the basis of effective or ineffective treatment. In other words, an enlarged cancer lump with red color and softened texture is a sign of improvement; a shrinking cancer lump with hard texture or softened and collapsed is a sign of deterioration. Cancer in the body, invisible lumps, can be reflected in the spirit, diet, urine and stool, sleep, etc. A person who is dangerously ill and dying will never behave like a normal person without any pain in mental, dietary, urinary and faecal aspects of life. Therefore, to cure cancer, as long as the patient’s daily life is normalized, he or she will not die. 6. The doctor who treats cancer should not only think in terms of drugs, but also overcome the patient’s fear of death. Because, even if most patients are not scared to death, the treatment effect will be seriously affected. Therefore, relieving patients’ ideological concerns is the key to treating cancer. Therefore, it is important to give the patients’ mind work frequently, to cooperate with qigong treatment, and to add various natural therapies according to the different conditions of each person, and to put the conditioning of mind in the first place.
