How to take rhinoceros horn powder

Rhinoceros horn is now banned, and clinics now use buffalo horn instead. Buffalo horn powder is a fine powder processed with buffalo horn as raw material, and its method of administration is decoction of water in soup, powdered orally.
Buffalo horn is the horn of buffalo, which is the substitute of rhinoceros horn, with the effect of clearing heat and cooling blood, detoxifying and calming fright. It has therapeutic effect on high fever of warm disease, convulsions (pediatric diseases mainly manifested by dizziness, apoplexy and convulsions), blood fever, epistaxis (vomiting blood, nose bleeding), carbuncle, boils and sore throat, etc. It can be used as a decoction for internal use. It can be used internally as decoction or powder; externally as powder and compress.
Clinically, it is often used in combination with antelope horn to treat high fever, dizziness and eclampsia caused by warm-heat evil; and in combination with Radix et Rhizoma Dioscoreae, it is used in treating warm-heat diseases resulting in high fever and macular eruption.
The adverse reactions, contraindications and medication precautions of the above drugs are not clear at present.
This drug should be used under the guidance of traditional Chinese medicine practitioners, and should not be used on its own to avoid delaying the condition.
